iCreate: Using Electives to Innovate

Log in to save this to your schedule and see who's attending!

Have you ever dreamed of connecting bananas to a computer to make your own banana piano? How about making a keyboard out of alphabet soup? Do you love to hear the snap, crackle, and pop of trying new things? Designing an elective to intentionally practice creativity, prototyping, and an artistic mindset around new technology is a great way to build the capacity of your program! We’ll build and tinker and play with MaKey MaKey kits, robots, and other cutting edge tech to make music and design other fun projects. Can you teach children to take risks and be open to trying something new every week? Let's play and discuss!

Audience: beginner - advanced. Relevant to all school levels with examples drawn from 6th-8th grade.

A laptop will be helpful for this session (provided).
