When to Say Yes, and How to Say No

Although technology can offer new and exciting learning experiences, teachers often complain that cell phones, iPads and laptops are simply making students more distracted. Many teachers feel frustrated about having to spend much of their class time and attention policing the classroom to make sure everyone is on task. In this session, we will discuss key strategies to maximize student engagement and minimize the potential for distraction. Participants will come away with a plan for how to establish and maintain a classroom where technology enhances, not detracts, from learning.
